Contact Us - Storrs

ACES offers a variety of ways to connect, including advising appointments (both in-person and virtual), drop-in hours, and email communication. Please see below for more specific information on the best way to connect with us.

Current ACES students: You can find your assigned advisor's name and contact information in Student Admin under "Academic Progress & Advising."

New ACES students: You will be assigned to an advisor after you have attended a New Student Orientation session.

Open Hours (January 21st-January 24th only)

During peak advising times of the semester such as add/drop and registration, the ACES advising team offers Open Hours only, no appointments. ACES Open Hours allow students to meet with any ACES advisor on a drop-in basis. If you have any time-sensitive questions or need some quick help with your schedule, stop by ACES Open Hours! Please note that ACES Open Hours are designed for quick 10 minute or less conversations to answer immediate questions or concerns. To keep the line moving, students will meet with the first available ACES advisor, not necessarily with their assigned ACES advisor.

ACES Open Hours will take place January 21st-January 24th from 9am-12pm & 1pm-4pm. Please note that the ACES office will be closed on Monday, January 20th for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

To utilize ACES Open Hours, please sign in at the ACES main office in ROWE 111 and the next available advisor will come out to greet you. Open Hours are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so please plan accordingly in case there is a wait.

Drop-In Hours (fall & spring semesters only)

Spring 2025 Drop-In Hours will be posted closer to the start of the semester.

Drop-in hours are designed for quick 10 minute or less conversations to answer an immediate question or concern. To utilize ACES drop-in hours, please sign in at the ACES main office in ROWE 111 and the advisor on duty will come out to greet you when they are next available. Drop-ins are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so please plan accordingly in case there is a wait. Please note that wait times may be longer during peak advising times of the semester (i.e. add/drop, registration).

If you are looking to discuss registration, or have a more in-depth conversation regarding major exploration, please schedule an appointment with an ACES advisor in Nexus to allow more time for the discussion.

Advising Appointments: Current ACES Students

You can find your advisor's availability and schedule an advising appointment through Nexus. ACES advising appointments are offered both in-person and virtually. If you have questions or concerns regarding advising or the meeting options available, please contact your assigned advisor from your UConn email address and include your 7-digit Student ID number.

*Note: Nexus appointments are for current UConn students only. If you are not a current UConn student, please email aces@uconn.edu for assistance.*

Advising Appointments: Non-ACES UConn Students

If you have questions regarding ACES or major exploration, please stop into the ACES office during our drop-in hours or email aces@uconn.edu with your name, 7-digit Student ID number, and inquiry.

Advising Appointments: Newly-Accepted ACES Students or Non-UConn Students

Newly-accepted ACES students will first meet with an ACES advisor at New Student Orientation. If you are a newly-accepted student or a non-UConn student, please email any questions to aces@uconn.edu.
