Experience
Gaining experience is yet another important part of the
equation. Experience can help you to choose, or decide
against, a given major. Likewise, experience offers
you the opportunity to gain a background in, or learn more
about, various careers. There are countless ways to
gain experience while you are in college and you can begin
as early as your first semester. Opportunities for
experience vary and you can gain experience during the academic
year and/or during the summer. Some experiential learning
opportunities are paid while others are not. Some are
on campus while others out in the community. Below
you will find some suggestions for ways that you can build
your experiences throughout your college education.
