Education

Education includes not only the things that you learn in the classroom but also those lessons that you learn from all of your experiences and relationships.  A critical component of your education is your choice of a major, but remember that your major is just one element of your educational journey.

Often when students think about choosing a major they are fearful that the decision will dictate or limit which careers will be available to them upon graduation. However, more and more students are realizing that a specific major does not always lead to a specific career.  In fact, skills for communication, critical thinking, taking initiative, interacting effectively with others and processing new information are often far more important to employers than is a student's major.  Take the quiz below to learn more about majors at UConn and the career opportunities that are associated with them.

Recent UConn graduates hold the following jobs.  See if you can guess their major by filling out the letter of the major in the fill-in boxes (some majors will be used more than once).  When you're done, click on "SUBMIT" to see how well you did.
